Abstract
The aim of this research is to evaluate the change in gastric myoelectrical activity (GMA) and autonomic nervous function (ANF) on ingesting different viscosity grades of fluid diet for the 10 healthy subjects with simultaneous measurements of EGG and HRV. Results suggested that (1) Gastric emptying related to function of distal stomach may be promoted by ingestion of high viscosity fluid diet, and (2) Receptive relaxation related to function of proximal stomach may not function on ingesting of low viscosity fluid diet.
