Abstract
Second harmonic components generated from the contact surfaces of the solids are detected. Second harmonic components do not depend on contact area under the constant pressure and second harmonic components can be suppressed by applying the pressure to the surfaces are experimentally clarified. The collision vibration generated in a gap can be suppressed by using a double-coated adhesive tape for a binder. Condition of solid contacts can be evaluated using second harmonic components of the ultrasonic waves.
