Quantitative analysis on disciplines comparative advantage of social sciences in China

The aim of this study is to building up advantage index for social science, so as to analysis and compare the distribution and advantage of regional social science research field. Some analyses on absolute and relative comparative advantage discipline are made in each region by index of CSSCI papers. The results showed For nowadays, economics becomes the primary academic discipline in Chinese social science field; Beijing, Jiangsu, Shanghai, Hubei and Guangdong are strongest in China´s social science research and there are a small number of other provinces in the absolute advantage disciplines, and each region have ranged number of relative comparative disciplines. Relative comparative advantage disciplines such as marxism, philosophy, linguistics, literature, library and information literature and education are distributed in the central region provinces.
