Abstract
Based on illustrating the concept of project performance of rural land consolidation, This paper aims to construct the performance evaluation index system to evaluate rural land consolidation among the 31 provinces in China in 2003~2007 and analyzes the feature of regional variation and its impact mechanism by applying the “P-S-P” framework and Information Entropy Weight TOPSIS model. The research results show that the overall level of Chinese rural land consolidation project performance is low and the average value of five years is only 0.2529 and the performance average value is lower than 0.3. Furthermore, from the regional distribution of view, the developed districts have the lower performance level generally, while the major grain-producing provinces possess a higher performance level.
