Abstract
There is an increasing visibility of the mobile social game business in the landscape of the Internet content business. The analysis of mobile social game design shows many similarities between design guidelines in game design and in persuasive technology. The author examines the design guidelines in persuasive technology in order to find similarities in the design guidelines in game design. He concludes that the best practices in mobile social game design follow the design guidelines in persuasive technology.
