  • Abstract
    The method and compositions for the manufacture of foam glass block for single-stage technology, eliminating the annealing stage was developed. The main technological steps are the mixing of the fine-dispersed silica-containing material with additives, granule formation from the mixture, thermal bloating of granules in the metal molds at the temperatures up to 800 °C. The possibility of the extrusion of liquid-glass compositions with simultaneous formation of foam tape was investigated. The obtained materials have a closed and fine-porous structure and enhanced properties - bulk density ρbulk = 150-200 kg/m3 and compressive strength Rcompr. = 0.5-1.0 MPa. The developed compositions of form-concrete and foam stabilizers allow getting a form-concrete using the synthetic foaming agent on the base of fine sand filler.
