Excellent execution: a hidden competitive advantage

Effective on-time execution provides a competitive advantage that rivals cannot easily copy. Why is on-time execution important? Why should you care about it? Apart from the obvious, "because it\´s important to be on time!" there is a significant reason for paying close attention to excellent execution. It is a hidden competitive advantage. Competitors can take apart products and figure out how to make similar or functionally- equivalent products. Competitors can copy services. But competitors cannot easily learn your internal processes and behaviors that result in what I call "Excellent Execution".
