Abstract :
A layered video transmission algorithm with QoS guarantee is proposed to solve the problem of scalable video transmission over wireless networks. It predicts the possible transmission rate of next frames by probability estimation so as to select the appropriate layer for transmission. It can reduce the frame loss rate with efficient use of network bandwidth. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm can ensure the video transmitted a high quality and a low frame loss rate.
