Abstract :
A distributed control system (DCS) based on three-layer network is presented for the screw air compressors and the piston air compressors. The system is composed of industrial computer, PLC, inverter, soft starter and sensors, etc. It adopts a PID closed loop control method. The designed system has been applied in coal mines. The results show that the pressure and flow of the compressed air can be adjusted automatically and continuously, and the energy saving and potential application is remarkable.
