Abstract
Real-time testing of new control algorithms is the last stage of development, which takes considerable time. Therefore we are looking for new options for testing. This paper presents real-time control of permanent magnet synchronous motors on CompactRIO. The CompactRIO is based on a reconfigurable field-programmable gate array (FPGA) chassis and an embedded controller. We had to solve the problem of synchronization of the PWM and ADC for current measurement in the implementation of vector control to FPGA. The current waveform distortion due to dead time has been validated by practical measurement.
