Abstract :
This paper presents verification methods of control logic diagrams of SKN 3,4 NPP using the Logic Translator for Advanced Power Reactor 1400(APR1400). The design of the APR 1400, an evolutionary advanced light water reactor, was developed by the Korea. Also Shin-Kori 3&4 in southeastern Korea, currently under construction, will be the first nuclear power plants to incorporate the APR1400 design. Most of the non-safety I&C system for SKN 3, 4 NPP are implemented in a Distributed Control System (DCS) based common platform which has been proven by operating experiences from the nuclear industry as well as other industries. The functions of DCS stimulator has been verified through the integration test with APR1400 simulator. Thus developed DCS stimulator based on APR1400 simulator can be useful for training of the I&C engineers and supporting to commissioning of Shin-Kori 3,4 nuclear power plants. This study is presenting the methods of verification with utilization of verification facility which is already developed and translator of control logic diagrams. Also there are conducting confirmation about the major change and identifying the control logics of NPCS design for SKN-3&4.
