Abstract
Identification of noise free images is very important task in the image processing. In this paper, we invoke the multifractal analysis in the recognition of noise free images by using Generalized Fractal Dimensions (GFD). Generalized Fractal Dimensions is the measure of complexity and the chaotic nature (irregularity) in the fractal images or corrupted images. In this technique, Median Filter is used to denoise the images corrupted by the Salt and Pepper Noise. It was shown that GFD measure discriminates the Noisy and Noise Free Images very accurately and demonstrated by the graphical methods for the standard images. This multifractal measure is a non-linear technique and it is a very efficient tool in the image analysis to detect the noiseless images.
