Abstract :
The performance of a plasma opening switch (POS) has been studied experimentally using a ns pulsed power generator and also a small coaxial test setup. The results were obtained for the oases when the plasma was injected either from the outer or from the inner electrode. It has been shown that one of the features of the POS action is the generation of high current particle flows.
