Abstract
The stability of the convergent radial electron flow emitted (1) from the side surface to the axis of the cylinder and (2) along the axis of the waveguide into the increasing magnetic field is investigated. The conditions of virtual cathode formation are studied as well as the spectrum of radiation and the efficiency of the flow energy conversion into the energy of electromagnetic oscillations.
