Abstract
The paper describes a set of measurements carried out in a reverberating chamber and aimed to characterize the field statistics when the source stirring technique is applied. Twenty antennas are used to build up the radiating system and to cover the operational frequency range 1 GHz-3 GHz. The quartiles of the received power distributions are analyzed over a wide frequency range showing satisfactory matching with the expected theoretical distribution. Polar plots and the cumulative distribution functions (CDF) of the rectangular and total field components are also checked at several frequencies. Finally, the uniformity analysis, applied to a typical working volume, shows that the array is able to perform a source stirring of the RC field that fulfills the IEC 61000-4-21 requirements.
