  • Abstract
    A novel control method for tip speed ratios of the series connected wind turbines in a wind farm by controlling the field currents of the wind generators is proposed. It is confirmed that good agreements between experimental and simulation results are obtained, showing the usefulness of the proposed method of the simulation model. Also, it is shown that reactive power of the wind generators of this system is decreased when compared to the system with phase controlled rectifiers.
