Abstract

Personalisation is a key property for Business-to-Customer services, as well as for other types of applications, such as e-learning and information systems. Expert systems are used to personalize websites successfully in e-commerce. The aim of this paper is to integrate a Java Expert System Shell called JESS to a Learning Management System (LMS) to achieve the idea of personalization by applying JESS rules into online quizzes within LMS.
