Abstract :
Lately, there is an increasing interest in multimodal biometric systems. Development of such systems requires high level of understanding of every segment of multimodal biometric process and its terminology. Standard process of learning these concepts can be rather uninteresting and time consuming. In order to attack this issue, this paper presents elBio, platform designed to facilitate learning of multimodal biometrics through tutorial-like system interaction. elBio guides potential biometric trainees through an array of steps, that are common for almost every multimodal biometric system development process. Trainee can assemble an example system by proceeding through defined phases. At the same time, the process of learning and acquiring practical knowledge happens at a much faster rate in comparison to using traditional book-style learning approach.
