Abstract :
In this paper, we consider RF cavities for the acceleration of high power beams. Modulated relativistic electron beams are injected directly into the cavities to support RF oscillationsm The approach leads to high current (≥10 kA) electron accelerators and to high gradient ion accelerating structures.
