Abstract
One of the most perspective trends of high-current electronics development is the creation of electron beam accelerators with high pulse recurrence frequency. The prospect of this trend is due not only to the possibility of these accelerators to be widely used in physical researches but to their possibility to be used in solution of various problems of applied character. This paper deals with the electron beam accelerator with pulse recurrence frequency up to 100 Hz. The electron energy is ≃ 5·105ev, the current is ≃ 5·103 A, the pulse duration is 25 ns, the pulse rise time is 3 as. The construction peculiarities of a high-voltage pulse generator are surveyed, and the investigation results of the accelerator operation stability are given. An instability of the accelerator pulse parameters less that 1% is shown can be obtained under realization of certain conditions.
