  • Abstract
    Vacuum diodes with high voltages are used for relativistic electron beems (REB) generation, the latter problem having many physical and technical applications [1]. Despite of a very complicated processes of explosive emition [2] and of plasma motion near the surfice of electrodes a very good agreement with experiments is obtained under supposition of charge - limited emition from a certain part of cathode [2]. The available diode theories constructed within the frames of this supposition and applied for quite simple geometrical configurations of diodes. give the dependence of total current on voltage correctly [3,4].
