Abstract
High power charged particle beam applications to the controlled thermonuclear synthesis problem evokes the necessity of beam structure investigations. In a number of cases (vacuum sparks, Z-pinches, plasma focus devices, exploading wires etc.) a hot high density plasma with a time of existence large compared to the electron maxwellization time occures as a result of a high current pinch effect. It is adequate to study such plasma structures on the basis of possible equilibrium states analysis.
