  • Abstract
In this paper, a method of enterprise New Product Development (NPD) information environment evaluation is researched. Firstly, by analyzing the information transfer in NPD and reengineering the R&D process, an integrated information requirement model is produced. then the information flow of main enterprise systems is combed. Based on the information requirement model, the contributions to R&D information from these systems are evaluated then. to reduce the information confliction and inputs repetition, the relationships among system information are defined to get the common part of them, which can make systems work together better and provide an integrated information environment. then an evaluation model can be given for enterprise information environment based on some factors such as R&D information completeness, transfer cost, transfer time, information quality and IT connectivity.
