Abstract :
This paper deals with an efficient way of a simulation modeling of machine tools. Manufacturers of the machine tools are now turning to advanced simulation modeling which can accurately predict the dynamic behavior of their prototype designs without physically building any parts. A behavior analysis of a machine tool structural model in both frequency and time domain is analyzed in this paper. The presented dynamic analysis of the machine tool is based on a multi-body system with a finite element model of individual flexible parts.
