Abstract
The Li1.4Al0.4Ti1.6(PO4)3 glass ceramic with NASICON-type phase has been prepared by acetic acid-assisted sol-gel method, where lithium acetate, aluminium nitrate, titanium oxide and ammonium dihydrogen phosphate were used as starting materials, along with ethanol as the solvent. Samples were characterized by thermo-gravimetric analyzer (TGA), X-ray diffraction (XRD), field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM) and electrical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) technique. Experimental results indicate that pure powders can be obtained by heating the samples in the range of 600°C to 900°C. The highest room temperature ionic conductivity were 1.22×10-5 Scm-1 as sample underwent 800°C of sintering temperature for 3h in air. The domain conducting phase of as-prepared samples were confirmed to be LiTi2(PO4)3, a NASICON-type phase.
