Abstract
A flexible ultra-wideband (UWB) sensor node for operation in the license-free range from 6.0-8.5 GHz is proposed. The sensor is aimed at end-user applications at home. As an example, vitality monitoring of needy people is introduced. UWB sensors deliver information on position, posture, and breathing. Challenges are discussed using real-world data.
