Abstract
Analog and mixed signal (AMS) circuits play an ever increasing role in semiconductors. In this paper, we provide a brief introduction to the trends in the industry. We use these trends to describe key needs of AMS design. We highlight some of the challenges, particularly those arising from advanced process nodes. Our primary focus is to improve the productivity in AMS design. We discuss some of the key technologies and research areas in the context of our custom design solution.
