Abstract
Summary form only given. DNA nanotechnology is a versatile self-assembly process whereby a variety of complex nanostructures can be fabricated with sub-lithographic features [1]. Adopting this technology, 1012 identical devices having hundreds of components with nanometer resolution can be synthesized simultaneously. Example nanostructures include DNA motifs [2], two-dimensional DNA crystals [3], and DNA origami [4]. Currently, DNA nanotechnology is being adopted towards excitonic and plasmonic devices [5] and medical applications[6]. This presentation will examine examples of both and discuss several the approaches being used at Boise State University.
