Abstract :
Recent years, the natural disaster of enteromorpha prolifera erupted in the yellow sea area, which not only had influence on landscape, but also directly affected the sailing of small ships. The technology of Remote Sensing has become an important method of monitoring enteromorpha prolifera because it can provide macroscopical information about earth surface quickly and effectively. This paper used the MODIS data to extract enteromorpha prolifera information of the yellow sea area through the methods of minimum distance classification, normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI) and spectral angle mapper (SAM) classification based on end member extraction separately. The experiment results showed that the effect of extraction is better with the method of spectral angle mapper classification based on end member extraction, which will provide technology reference about remote sensing monitoring of enteromorpha prolifera.
