  • Abstract
This paper presents a novel mechanism to improve accuracy of lane boundary measurement based on a 24GHz FMCW Radar. The traditional algorithm based on the vehicle position PDF (Probability Density Function) is adopted in specific installation and traffic condition, the novel mechanism makes it suitable and reliable in complex condition. In this mechanism, two receiving antennas and Zoom-FFT are used to improve the measuring accuracy. Moreover, a proposed approach is adopted to eliminate the influences from metal obstacles. The result shows that this mechanism makes it more accurate to identify boundaries based on PDF algorithm.
