Abstract :
In this paper, an ICA-based blind multiuser detection approach for OFDM-IDMA system is presented. ICA is a signal processing technique that aims to detect a set of unknown mutually independent source signals from their observed mixtures without prior knowledge of the mixing coefficients. The proposed algorithm is applied as post processors attached to IDMA receiver. In this study, the performance of the proposed detector is compared to the conventional turbotype iterative OFDM-IDMA multiuser detector in which chip interleavers are the only means of user separation. Validity and performances of the described approach are demonstrated by numerical simulations based on examining the bit error rate (BER) criterion in the quasi-static Rayleigh fading channel.
