Abstract
In this paper a control strategy to regulate the output power of a stand-alone hybrid generation system is presented. The system is intended for variable load and includes wind, solar and diesel generation with battery bank. At first, a dynamic model of the system is developed. The control law admits six modes of operation. Decision criteria for the controller based on measurable system variables are presented. Finally, the performance of the controller is extensively assessed through computer simulation.
