Abstract :
A wide dynamic Bias Current Generator (BCG) for low voltage applications is proposed as part of a biasing section of a RF mixed-signal chip for portable mobile applications in which power management is required. The particular characteristic of this bias current generator (BCG) is on its wide output range of currents that can go from 62.5nA to 16μA with high accuracy, and does not need off chip components. Low power techniques had been use in order to implement the proposed circuit. The circuit was designed in standard 0.18 μm CMOS process. Simulation results predicts the expected response of the BCG.
