Abstract

The basic elements of intelligent building are building automation, office automation, communication automation, fire alarm and emergency broadcasting, Security automation. One of the main factors that limit building automation and control system development is difficulty in data interaction, which is so called "information islands". Applying supervision and control systems developed with SCADA is the right way to solve the problem. After explaining the working principles and characteristics of configuration software, this paper will introduce IndasIBMS SCADA development system. The core part of IndasIBMS is the real-time data sever dasRdb. An engineering example was given to discuss the methods of designing intelligent building automation and control systems using IndasIBMS at the end of the paper.
