  • Abstract
Increased application of sequential pattern mining requires a perfect understanding of the problem and the model of existing algorithms. In the last decade, a variety of algorithms and techniques have been developed to deal with the problem of sequential pattern mining. This paper reviews the state-of-the-art progress on methods of identifying sequential pattern from data base. It describes a variety of models for sequential pattern mining task by classifying into two wide categories. the first one is to sequential pattern mining algorithms, which discovered sequential pattern over the static database and other one is to mining of sequential pattern over the incremented or updated database.
