Abstract
The particularity of ad hoc network makes the traditional TCP protocol can´t be suitable for present network environment, in the paper, we analyzed the main factors impacting on TCP performance in ad hoc network, and an improved scheme (Imp-ADTCP) of end-to-end TCP congestion control was proposed which based on original ADTCP scheme. It may decrease the excessive growth of the congestion window, and has self-adaption. In addition, the scheme increases the status flag of TCP header in the ACK packet, and combines multiple measurement parameters to determine the status of the network, which improves the accuracy of the network status identification and made the sender take appropriate control measures. The simulation result shows that the scheme significantly increases network throughput and improves TCP performance.
