  • Abstract
It is well known that the possibility of use of Resovist® as a tracer for MPI has been studied, but whose performance using a practicable MPI device is not adequate. In this situation, it has been suggested that the fractionation of Resovist® shows good performance than Resovist® itself1,2,3). Meito Sangyo has been manufacturing Ferucarbotran, an active pharmaceutical ingredients (API) for Resovist®, since 2001, and are studying to obtain a practicable MPI tracer by separation of Ferucarbotran. Here, we report the physical properties such as MPI signal, particle size, T2 relaxivity and the biological behavior of the fractions from Ferucarbotran.
