  • Abstract
    This paper aims at the study, analysis and simulation of full order or fifth order dynamic equations of asynchronous generator in Matlab-Simulink environment. The asynchronous generator considered here is the squirrel cage induction generator (SCIG). Various SCIG parameters like rotor speed, electromagnetic torque, active power and reactive power under free acceleration and various load conditions are simulated and analysed. The advantages of using Matlab-Simulink environment and p.u. model are discussed in detail and different transformations and reference frames used for modeling the SCIG are also discussed.
