Abstract
Although Thailand has no obligation to reduce greenhouse gas production since it is not in the Annex I, the guidelines set forth in the Kyoto Protocol has provided opportunities for Thailand to participate in reducing emissions under the clean development mechanism. The carbon credit registry system is needed to achieve that goal. This paper reports the situation of green house gas reduction in Thailand and some statistic CDM projects in Thailand. This paper also focused on the concept of carbon credit market for Thailand related to the world and how CERs are to be traded in Thailand. The document discusses the requirements of the Carbon Credit Registry System and a conceptual structural design of the system for Thailand and the probability of the system.
