Abstract
The experimental and theoretical analysis carried out for a box-type solar cooker based on the energy balance equations for the temperature elements and solved by using fourth order Runge-Kutta method. Numerical calculations have been carried out for the solutions of the equations and there exist a general agreement between the experimental and theoretical results. The theoretical analysis for one of the typical days has found to be the parameter which influences the thermal performance of the cooker in the climate condition at Dhanalakshmi College of Engineering at Tambram, Chennai.
