Abstract :
Different physical properties of wheat are determined at three levels of moisture content. Effects of different properties viz. grain volume, surface area, sphericity, bulk density, true density, porosity etc. on moisture content are studied. These properties of wheat which affect the flow characteristics of the samples in a fluidized bed dryer are found to be dependent on moisture content of samples. Thus the drying of wheat is found to be dependent on its physical properties.
