Abstract
This paper presents the overall model of the wind energy conversion system using permanent magnet synchronous generator. The fuzzy-PI controller is developed which produces optimum power. The proposed vector control provides the desired voltage at output of the generator side converter so as to control the generator speed. An adaptive fuzzy speed controller is proposed to overcome the nonlinear characteristics of WECS. Simulation studies are based on Mat lab Simulink/Fuzzy logic tool box. The result shows the systems have optimum power output within the range of wind speed.
