Abstract
A new scheme of using Integral Sliding Mode ideas for fault tolerance is proposed in this paper. The Integral Sliding Mode Ideas are combined with control allocation to handle the total failure of certain sensors under the assumption of redundancy available in the system. The given scheme does not reconfigure the controller but uses the sensor´s effectiveness to redistribute the control signals to working sensors. The given scheme is tested for faults and failures in the simulation of a water distribution system.
