Abstract
The co-design of the antenna system and the Radio Frequency (RF) Front End (FE) is an indisputable enabler of future antenna systems, where the antennas should also provide filtering capabilities. In this paper we illustrate the potential of the spatial duplexing concept when using Capacitive Coupling Elements (CCEs) of different lengths. It is found that it is possible to achieve a high level of isolation through near field null steering, while the electromagnetic isolation curves may only exhibit slight variations depending on the quality factor of the antennas.
