  • Abstract
    This paper presents a dual-band textile artificial magnetic conductor (AMC) with two dipole textile antenna operating at 2.45 GHz and 5.8 GHz. The designs are used denim jeans as the substrate. The denim jean has a dielectric constant of 1.67, 0.85mm of thickness and 0.0019 of loss tangent. One layer of denim jean is attached between the AMC and the antenna in order to prevent the shot circuit between the AMC ground plane and dipole antenna. Simulation and measurement results for both frequencies are analyzed and discussed. It shows that the antenna gain has improved by 6 dB when the AMC is attached with the dipole antenna with radiation pattern is more directional.
