Abstract
In the nearby of the high voltage overhead power lines and within the high voltage substations, several human beings and environment safety measures are necessary to be taken, requested by the electromagnetic phenomena. These measures have to be respected during power facilities exploitation. The recorded values using a powerful power quality and environment impact monitoring system within several substations in Romania are analyzed. As a study case it is used a representative substation within the Romanian Power System (400/220/110/20 kV Sibiu Sud Substation).
