  • Abstract
In previous paper the logic scheme for the accurate acquisition of the exponential signal, and the numerical procedure to evaluate the superimposed distortion were introduced. In this paper two open questions are taken into consideration. The first one concerns with the estimation of the number of exponential functions np that well fit the acquired samples and complies with the physical model of the signal. The correct value of np makes reliable the evaluation of the distortion parameters. The second one concerns with the hardware implementation of the logic scheme. Particular attention is focused on reducing the effects of the uncertainty sources of the devices on the acquired signal. The results of experimental tests are shown as case study.
