Abstract :
We report an on-chip lensfree holographic microscope with a large field-of-view (FOV) of ~20.5 mm2 and a high numerical aperture (NA) of ~0.9. By implementing a pixel super-resolution technique on a color CMOS image sensor, this computational microscope achieves a spatial resolution of ~300 nm at an illumination wavelength of 530 nm, yielding approximately one billion useful pixels in both the reconstructed amplitude and phase images. This lensfree holographic on-chip imaging technique can be used as the building block for high resolution, compact and cost-effective optical microscopes for various biomedical imaging applications.
