Abstract
The need for an Ontology developed in Web ontology language (OWL) is significant to making the Web Semantic. It is also felt that ontological support is needed for the semantic web in order to make the information ready for machine consumption. . The Web Ontology Language OWL is designed for use by applications that need to process the content of information instead of just presenting information to humans. The ontological structure using the Web Ontology Language (OWL) which is used for modelling ontologies of a domain is also used for supporting Context and content reasoning and the same is explored in this paper. This paper proposes a UnivPeopleProgram ontology framework which can be extended and customized at respective university level and the same is developed using Protégé an ontology editor tool developed by Stanford University. We also reason the Ontology and present the inferences drawn based on the ontology framework proposed. The machine interpretability aspect of the UnivPeopleProgram ontology is highlighted using the reasoner and supported by respective screen shots.
