Welcome message

Welcome to the 29th IEEE Symposium on Massive Storage Systems and Technologies (MSST2013): Research Track, in Long Beach, California. This year, the conference received 109 submissions, of which 14 were accepted for publication as full-length papers, and 15 were accepted for short-paper/poster presentations. The selection process was difficult, and consisted of a rigorous review by a technical program committee formed from an international group of prominent experts in storage systems and technologies. Each paper was reviewed by at least three reviewers, and more than 96% of the reviews were from PC members. The final selection of papers was based on the perceived quality and originality of the submissions, as well as their relevance to the themes of the conference.
